Promote “play” and “learn” opportunities for all

Longmont has made excellent progress in expanding our greenways and recreational opportunities. Since dwindling resources are probable for the next few years, we will need to give careful consideration to the best long-term use of the resources we have.

Longmont has excellent choices for artistic entertainment.  With the help of the Longmont Downtown Development Authority, plans are being crafted to improve the Longmont Theatre.  Once completed this will offer our community many additional opportunities for entertainment.  It will also serve as a magnet to draw people into this unique area of our city.

Early learning and life-long learning support families. To leverage these goals Longmont should seek to partner with other community organizations, public and private, as well as continue our existing commitments.
