
Kaye Fissinger is dedicated and committed
to our Longmont community.
- She has attended nearly all Longmont City Council meetings over the past eighteen months as well as the Council’s 2008 and 2009 Retreats.
- Kaye serves on the Board of Environmental Affairs and has attended meetings of other boards and commissions.
- She participated in the two-day workshop to determine the long-range vision for the Panattoni/Twin Peaks Mall and the surrounding area. She attended the Urban Renewal Plan reviews and offered suggestions for its improvement that were incorporated by the city’s consultant and its staff.
- She was a leader in the grassroots effort to prevent the unwise and financially unsustainable annexation of the Lifebridge Union Project on property just south of Union Reservoir. She remains committed to preserving the environmental benefits of the reservoir and its surroundings.
- Kaye has researched the issues and understands their importance and implications.
Kaye Fissinger is highly qualified
with a diverse background.
- Kaye received a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Education, Indiana University – Area Major in Speech and Theatre and pursued an advanced degree in theatre in California.

- Kaye was employed in the solar electric (photovoltaic-PV) industry in market research, strategic planning, communications and as editor and principal writer for a solar energy magazine with worldwide circulation.
- She served several years in the healthcare industry as administrator to a hospital governing board and then as marketing administrator for medical laboratories.
- She holds a Life Certification in Secondary Education in theater, speech and English.
- She is a former teacher as well as a director and choreographer.
- Kaye served as production and research assistant to Tony Award winner Dale Wasserman, author of Man of La Mancha.
